About CFSA
The Chinese Friendship and Scholarship Association (CFSA) is a non-profit organization affiliated with the International Education Office of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire whose aims are:
- To facilitate communication, friendship, and fellowship among CFSA members.
- To promote understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture and history to people in the north central region of Wisconsin.
- To assist new Chines faculties, staff, and visiting scholars during their settle-in periods in Wisconsin.
What does CFSA do?
Here are some examples...
- Celebration of Chinese festivals (Lunar new year, moon festivals, dragon etc.)
- Common interest groups (Tai chi, sewing, ...)
- Chinese language classes
- Seminars/lectures on Chinese culture and history
- Public presentation of Chinese movies, arts, music...
- Provision of educational and cultural resources (library, museum..)
- Sponsoring community/scholarly cultural projects
